Effective October 8, 2026.

The Remediation Tech is Ed McCluskey’s remodeling company in Greater Northeast Philly. We remodel bathrooms, kitchens, and basements in condo and apartment units and homes. This page explains what information this website and our phone line collect, why, who else handles it, and the choices you have. The short version: we use it to answer you about a job, we measure which of our Google ads bring calls and estimate requests, we look at how people use the site, and we do not sell your personal information.

What we collect

When you use an estimate or vendor form, we receive what you type in, which can include:

Do not send payment-card numbers, Social Security numbers, or other account numbers through a form, email, or text.

When you call, text, or email us, we have the phone number or address you used and whatever you tell us about the job.

When you call a number shown in one of our Google ads, or on this site after clicking one of our ads, the call may go through a Google forwarding number before it reaches our phone. Google connects the call and reports call details to us, such as the date and time, how long the call lasted, and the caller’s area code. Your number still shows on our phone as usual. See “Calls through Google forwarding numbers” below.

When you browse this site, some information is collected automatically: your IP address, browser and device type, the page you asked for, the page that sent you here, and, if you came from one of our ads, an ad click ID that Google adds to the web address. Details are in “Google Analytics” and “Cookies and similar tools” below and on our Cookies page.

How we use it

We do not add you to a newsletter or marketing list. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.

Google Ads

We advertise with Google Search ads and use Google Ads conversion tracking to see which ads lead to calls and estimate requests. For this, the site loads the Google tag (from Google), which sets or reads cookies in your browser that record an ad click, so Google Ads can tell us when someone who clicked one of our ads calls us from the site or sends a form. We use this only to measure our own ads. We do not use remarketing, meaning we do not build lists of site visitors to show them our ads later on other websites or apps, and we do not allow visits to this site to be used for ad personalization.

Google handles this information under its own policy: How Google uses information from sites that use its services and the Google Privacy Policy.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand visits to this site: which pages are viewed, rough location (such as city or region), the type of device and browser, and how visitors found us. It runs through the same Google tag and sets first-party cookies in your browser (_ga and _ga_5YJQXK0XED). We have turned off Google signals and ad personalization in Google Analytics, and we do not use it for remarketing. We look at the reports to improve the site and to see which pages lead to calls and estimate requests.

You can opt out of Google Analytics on every website with Google’s Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Calls through Google forwarding numbers

Phone numbers in our ads, and the number shown on this site to visitors who came from one of our ads, may be Google forwarding numbers. They ring through to the same phone: (267) 463-8138. Google uses them to report call details to us, such as date, time, duration, and caller area code, so we can tell which ads lead to real calls.

We do not record calls.

If you would rather skip the forwarding number, call or text (267) 463-8138 directly.

Who else handles it

We may also share information if the law requires it, to protect our rights or someone’s safety, or with a buyer if the business is ever sold. Facebook, YouTube, and Google Maps are links off this site. We do not put a Facebook (Meta) pixel on these pages.

Cookies and similar tools

Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. On this site they are used to measure our Google ads, understand how the site is used (Google Analytics), keep the site secure, and play embedded videos. They are not used to sell your information. Our Cookies page lists what is used and how to turn it off.

Your choices

How long we keep it

Estimate requests, emails, and texts stay in our email and job records as long as we need them to answer you, do the work, and keep normal business records, including insurance, warranty, and tax records. We do not keep a separate marketing list. Call details, ad measurement, and analytics data are kept by Google under Google’s own retention settings. The Google Ads cookies this site sets typically expire after 90 days, and the Google Analytics cookies after about 2 years, or sooner if you delete them. Cookies Google sets on its own domains follow Google’s policy.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS, and access to our email, ad, and analytics accounts is limited to the people who run the business. No website or email system is perfectly secure, so please don’t send sensitive financial or ID numbers.

Children

This site is for property owners, managers, and boards hiring a contractor. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
